Greetings!
Happy Spring 2023...
I am not quite sure how to explain the feeling I have right now, writing my first blog post in 6 months! Ambivalent, I think, is a fairly close descriptor.
Like many people, the winter months really do take their toll on me. Every...single...year! I am yet to find a resource or routine that makes it easier. Perhaps a move to a sunnier climate may be the cure? Not that I plan on doing that any time soon!
This year, in addition to the colder months, I also went on a bit of a self discovering period of sickness....completely unintentionally but I am rather pleased that I have been through it. I started 2023 with a bit of a bang, or what certainly felt like one! New years day, I found myself in hospital visiting an emergency dentist as I was in severe pain! A nasty infection was the cause which ended up taking the whole of January to recover from with the aid of the highest dose of antibiotics I have ever received.
So enter February 2023, what I was going to call the start of my new year....my infection very kindly morphed immediately into a nasty cold, which was more like flu and absolutely floored me! I was a mess. Towards the end of the month, I am hoping for a fresh start in March....but sadly, my cold didn't seem to clear up and instead I was left with this hacking cough and I was just exhausted ALL THE TIME! I was putting everything i had into just surviving and getting through each day! Finally, I decided enough was enough and 3 months of not feeling well it was time to see the doctor. Multiple tests later, I have been referred to two separate, specialist clinics and a potential diagnosis, which makes complete sense if it turns out to be what is wrong with me! I am incredibly happy to say it is nothing serious, and although it will mean some major changes, they could be a lot worse!
So that has been my sorry start to 2023. I am now very happy to be starting again in Spring! My absolute favourite season of the year. The clock change has already made me feel like a new person!
I have only been back working on Organise Happy tasks for a couple of days, and already I am knee deep in ideas, plans and to-do lists! But I know that I need to take it slow, because even the good stuff needs to be in moderation right?
That said, I have made a whole bunch of standard planner pages to give away from FREE this week and I am also in the midst of packing and sending out some RAK's (Random Acts of Kindness) that I do over on my instagram page. I pick a new person every month randomly to receive a free gift in the post - Follow me HERE if you want to join in the fun!
Great to be back and thank you for reading this far!
